Talk therapy works with the thinking brain - it helps you understand your patterns. Somatic work targets the nervous system directly, where trauma and chronic stress actually live. Many clients find they understand their issues but still feel them physically. Somatic work bridges that gap.
Yes - and it's specifically designed for it. Every session is paced to your window of tolerance. We never push, force, or re-traumatize. The entire approach is built around creating safety first, before any deeper work begins.
Skepticism is welcome here. You don't need to believe anything - you just need to be willing to try a few simple practices and notice what you feel. The nervous system responds to experience, not belief. Most skeptics feel something shift within the first few sessions.
The practices are designed for real people with demanding lives. Core somatic exercises take 5-10 minutes. The goal isn't to add more to your plate - it's to help your nervous system handle what's already on it.
